FORESTRY GOALS - Projects
• Provide information & education for improved forest management, increased economic return and protection of land and timber resources.
• Assist the forest industry with projects and research which encourage the production and marketing of sustainable, value added products.
• Help foresters and timber harvesters achieve a higher level of business and technical skill.
• Increase public awareness of the importance of forests to health, climate, the economy and a more beautiful world.

AGRICULTURE GOALS - Projects
• Spark rural sustainability and profitability by promotion of market based incentives, education, demonstration, participation, and research.
• Preserve farmland, protect and promote agricultural viability and efficient use of environmental and economic resources.
• Work with elected officials, policymakers, citizens and farmers to increase the diversification of farm products and marketing opportunities for producers.

RECREATION GOALS - Projects
• Develop and strengthen partnerships among regional and county tourism groups to support the development and economic benefits of recreational programs.
• Promote the development of trails and greenways as a means to enhance recreation and tourism.
• Promote management of wildlife resources, along with the availability of public lands, to make the area attractive to the increasing demand for hunting, fishing and recreational opportunities

RENEWABLE ENERGY - Projects
• Foster & promote the education and partnerships needed to move our region forward in renewable energy, with an ever constant eye on keeping green.

GENERAL COUNIL BUSINESS
• Revise Council By-Laws and Policies as needed.
• Develop Council Member handbook.
• Update Council website and provide regular updates
• Finalize and distribute Annual Report, Annual Plan and Area Plan.
• Enhance publicity by distributing a newsletter and submitting regular press releases.
• Revise, print and distribute Council brochure.
